This recipe is a canning recipe, and good to use if you have strawberries that are about to expire

Yield: 1 pint of jam

You will need:


Process:

  1. Cut off tops of berries
  2. Crush berries up in mortar and pestle till form a liquidy paste
  3. Combine berries and sugar in pot. Bring to a slow boil
  4. Cook rapidly till thickens, ~40 mins. Stir often to avoid burning
  5. Remove from heat, pour hot into hot jars with 1/4in head space. Process 15 mins in boiling bath
