This will be a little tutorial on how I make bread. Its cheap and easy, and
helps you prepare if you can't buy bread on your own (think prepper scenario).

Yield: ~2 9x5 pans of bread

You will need:

2 Cups of warm water (~110F/43C)

1/2 Cup of white sugar

1 1/2 Tbsp of yeast (or one packet)

1 1/2 Tsp of salt

1/4 Cup of vegetable oil

5-6 Cups of flour (change based on water)

Process:

Mix water and 1Tbsp of sugar. Let sugar disolve. Add yeast. Leave till
foamy, ~5 mins

Mix remainging sugar, salt, and oil into the bowl. While mixing, adding
1 cup of flour at a time. Do not add more flour till dough absorbs
most/all flour in bowl.

On flour covered counter, knead for 7 mins. Knead longer for a denser
loaf of bread. Place in lightly oiled bowl, turn to coat. Cover with
cloth or saran wrap. Let rise for ~1 hour.

Remove from bowl and knead for 1 min. Divide dough and place in greased
loaf pans. For buns, divide into balls and place on greased baking
sheet. Let rise for 30 mins.

Cut slots along top of loaf with sharp knife gently. Bake at 350F/175C
for 35 mins. Check with toothpick if baked all the way through.
Toothpick should come up clean.

Brush with butter. Best eaten fresh
